I graduated from college in Brussels, Belgium, as an Interior Architect. I loved completing my juried projects with watercolor renderings and, as a hobby, have been painting since then. I have lived in the Bay area for 30 years where I joined the "Magnolias", a group of gifted and passionate watercolorists, directed by the famous Cara Brown. We paint together every week. Their enthusiasm stimulates and improves my artistic skills every day.
StatementI was drawn to windows and beaten-up shutters while on vacation visiting family and friends: they were the symbol of a confined life, structured and carefully controlled. In opposition to my windows, wild animals started invading my soul with peacefulness and total freedom, generating a dream of an escape. Today, influenced by the richness of the Bay area, I find beauty in all forms of life: nature, people, or animals.
