The Readers

I applied archival tissue to watercolor paper and then painted this image. I am delighted by the unexpected texture that arises. I used predominantly watercolor with a tiny application here and there of acrylic paint. I met the gentleman at a senior center when a RIchmond elementary class I was teaching went to read to the seniors. It was a moving experience to witness the beautiful interaction between the two.
