I was born and raised in Southern California. My husband and I moved with our two young daughters to Forestville, Sonoma County in 1976 where we bought a vineyard to farm. I was an elementary school teacher before moving. I got involved in local politics and spent the next 27 years managing campaigns and eventually working in our West County Supervisor’s office. I primarily paint in watercolors, and also pastels. I very often combine the two. I don’t have a particular style but tend to be fine-focused. Unusual subjects interest me and I find them challenging. I paint from photographs in my home studio. My work has been shown and sold in many venues and has won multiple awards. I seem to be drawn to “old”wood pieces as a subject matter, as it’s a challenge to create layers of paint and rust
