StatementI use transparent watercolor to create precise, sharp-focus still life paintings. I apply thin layers of paint to produce deep, luscious, luminous colors. I endeavor to convey the intimacy I establish with my subjects. The distortions created by looking through glass fascinate me and so abstraction and reality are closely linked in my work.. Being fluid, yet able to also see clearly are important skills in our modern world.
