Sue Dedina

My name is Sue Dedina and I am a working artist with a studio at MarinMOCA. I work with water based mediums, primarily watercolor due to its brilliance and versatility. As an abstract expressionist I try to push the boundaries using the medium in non traditional ways. I learned to use shape and color as a way of defining the world around me. Having studied Marine Biology, I went back to school in my forties to study art and have never looked back!

I see the world through abstract eyes. Everything is a color or a line. Using watercolor non traditionally, I enjoy bringing line, color and feeling together in ways not yet explored. Early on I was told by an art teacher that I had no talent. I went on to pursue other interests but always came back to art. My goal is to show the magic of how the world can be seen in a new way.
